My flavor unzip software 7-Zip.It is an open source software. The majority of the source code is under the GNU LGPL license. Therefore, you can use it at home, commercial organization without any registration or payment. 7-Zip works in Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista.

There is a port of the command line version to Linux/Unix. Occasionally, I do have some difficulty to unzip certain documents with Chinese character by using winrar. After using 7-zip, I don’t see any problem yet to unzip any document.
