One thing about having a website is that you don’t want to spend too much time to learn the internals of apache and probably not even the shell’s OS if you even get access to it.
So what can you do? Control panel is your answer.

cPanel is the most popular control panel out there. You can almost do anything you would want to in regards to your website. Its so massive and has so many options that it made popular limiting what you can do with it and taking those limitations away by paying extra.
DirectAdmin is the easiest to use control panel, programmed to be the fastest running control panel available and lightning-fast support by phone, e-mail, forum, and live online chat.
The little guy’s fully features panel. Its quite good and contains most of what you want to do without the bloated feeling of cPanel. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do very much the same things in DirectAdmin that you can’t in cPanel.
Parallels Plesk Panel is the leading hosting automation control panel on the market. User-friendly and with multiple login roles that cater to all users, the Parallels Plesk Panel can have your hosting business up and running in no time.
Plesk has an assortment of options. Its not as much as cPanel or DirectAdmin, but not by too much. They’ve done things such as recode POP3 so when you log into your webmail on your site you can just type: username instead of username@domain.com.

Great guide you got there. cPanel is definitely very popular and once you have used it, you will find other control panel to be very limited in terms of features. ;)
Can you actually use other than Cpanel? I am using Cpanel at this moment. Its good guide and convenient. I am not sure about others.

surely can, one of my websites using Helm but my recommendation “stick on cPanel”
